Dr. Andreas Persidis - President
A 1981 alumnus, Andreas Persidis is the co-founder and current CEO of Biovista Inc, a company supplying drug repurposing and related services to the Life Science industry.
Named a Top 100 AI Leader in Drug Discovery and Advanced Healthcare in 2019, Dr. Persidis is a project reviewer and evaluator for the European Commission and the Austrian government, has been a special advisor to the Greek Minister of Development and Maritime affairs, serves on a number of expert advisory panels on knowledge technologies and is the past President of the Hellenic Biocluster. He speaks Greek, English and French and holds awards from the AAAI and the University of Glasgow.
Dr. Vasiliki Ivrou - Vice President
A 2014 alumnus, Vasiliki is an experienced Field Archaeologist with a demonstrated work for archaeology (terrain and underwater) as well as academic industry. Skilled in Research, English, Management, Teaching, and Project Planning. Strong research professional with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) focused in Prehistoric Maritime Archaeology from The University of Glasgow

Sifoyannos Nevradakis - Treasurer
A 2018 alumnus, Sifoyiannos is an Aerospace Engineer with extensive experience in aviation research, project management, and bid coordination. He holds an MSc in Aerospace Engineering and Management and a BEng in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Glasgow, and he is a certified UAV pilot. Fluent in Greek, English, and French, he currently serves as Bid Manager at ADB SAFEGATE, a global leader in airport performance solutions, where he oversees proposals for major airports across Europe and takes part in aviation projects. He has collaborated with Aegean Airlines, in optimizing aircraft maintenance processes. Moreover, during his service at the Hellenic Army’s Research and Technology Center, he contributed to aerospace research and innovation.
Stefanos Stefanou - Member
A 2015 alumnus, Stefanos Stefanou is the Sales Manager and co - owner of DataBlue SA the Software Distributor and Technology Center for IBM software products for Greece and Cyprus. Stefanos holds a bachelor degree in Physics (BSc) from the University of Patras and a master's degree in Information Technology (MSc) from the University of Glasgow.
Vassilis Tzemos - Member
A 2005 alumnus of the Adam Smith Business School, Vassilis Tzemos is the CFO of Stirixis SA, a globally leading engineering company.
Vassilis is a Founding Member and Secretary of Treasury of the Hellenic Alumni Association of Glasgow University and a Board Member of the Athens Accounting Association (L.S.A.). He has been a Member of the Greek Economic Chamber since 2004 and holds an A-Class Tax Accountant signature right.Fluent in Greek and English, he also holds the Diploma in International Financial Reporting Standards (ACCA).

He holds a MSc in Civil Engineering from Aristotelian University of Greece, an ΜΒΑ with distinction, from Adam Smith Business School of Glasgow University and has been certified in Project management from both IPMA and Prince2. Alex is the past President of the Hellenic Alumni Association of the University of Glasgow, the Vice President of CEO Clubs Greece and the President of Sustainable Building Council (SBC) of Greece.

Ioanna Gkintzou - Legal Counsel
A 2005 alumnus (LL.M.), Ioanna Gkintzou is a legal professional at the Bank of Greece in one of its supervisory departments. She holds a postgraduate degree in "Commercial Law" and in "Public Law and Political Science" and has been a lawyer since 2004, with extensive experience in civil and commercial law cases.
She served as Secretary of the Hellenic Alumni Association of the University of Glasgow.

Panagiotis Mathiou - Member
A 2004 graduate, Panagiotis Mathiou holds a degree in Archaeological Science and an MPhil in Mediterranean Archaeology, combining a solid academic foundation with extensive teaching experience in education. As a practicing archaeologist with a long-standing professional involvement, he has actively participated in excavations, conducted systematic analyses of material findings and contributed to the integrated management and preservation of cultural heritage. His deep interest in the History of Art enriches his interdisciplinary research methodology, fostering a synthesis of archaeological investigation with aesthetic theory and cultural interpretation of the past.
