Dr. Konstantinos Myrianthis, a Glasgow alumnus and soon to be member of HAAUGLA, is part of the ARTE group and is inviting all HAAUGLA members who are able, to go to Athens College and watch the N. Tsiforos comedy “The Heirs", on Tuesday 10th March.
According to the ARTE web site “We are a group of friends, amateurs, a group of professionals, scientists, businessmen, who love art, the joy of creation and especially theater. We also love giving to society. Combining our love for art and people, we created the Non-Profit Company "ARTE" which organizes events and theatrical performances of a charitable nature, the proceeds of which are allocated to charitable purposes."
The particular play will be in support of MDA Hellas (a charity for the care of people with neuromuscular diseases), so a very worthy cause indeed. If you are able to make it, we will be happy to see you there!
Post Event Update
Well, it was a great experience!
The theatre was FULL and the audience enthusiastic. The play, while an "old” comedy, is still relevant today and the idea of producing “old” plays is to help us “slow down” and enjoy some of the aspects of a not-so-distant Greek society. MDA Hellas was there as well, and HAAUGLA is proud to have sponsored in a very small way its worthy cause.

BTW, can you guess who our new HAAUGLA member Dr. K. Myrianthis is?!?!
